Babypalooza!
Connor reflects on the economy, originally uploaded by Ann Foley.
We went to Dick and Marilyn’s house for Thanksgiving a couple of days ago. Dick, my husband’s brother, has an open-floorplan house big enough to fit almost everyone at one table. I say almost because one brother and his family were at their other in-laws’ house. If they had been present, the seating plan would have been tight.
Dick and Marilyn saw the arrival of four grandchildren during the fall of ‘08. So Thanksgiving was a day of bouncing babies – more photos here.
The above baby, Connor, looks kind of worried. I sense he’s concerned that the TED spread is again above two. It’s a bummer to be 0 years old, without a Playstation or Xbox of your own, in a massive credit crisis.
Don’t worry, Connor, the TED spread is well below five, where it was in October. And I’m sure your dad, Jim Brennan, will share his Playstation.
Doesn’t Marilyn set a beautiful table?
We had a wonderful time.

Skippy in the first snow
Just as we went out for our 11 a.m. walk, the snow started to fall. In November, I still love the snow. I love wearing the warm stuff I knitted over the summer and fall. I love how snow makes everything look new again. I love seeing my elderly dogs liven up like puppies.
I think Skippy would love the snow no matter what, no matter when, no matter how much. But as I said, she’s not a kid any more. She limped more today than she usually does. I don’t think glucosamine supplements are doing it any more. Time to see the vet about rimadyl.

Sunday at 227
We had our kids and their families over for dinner today. Grandson Brock has many interests, including Brio trains, hiking, hiking in the sand, sand, gears, cars, television and sports.
He’s not quite as interested in eating, but the adults picked up his slack. We ate lasagna with a sourdough baguette and drank red wine. For dessert, apple pie.
