Billings in the Morning
I visited my parents, Bill and Loretta, in Billings, Montana last week.
Billings is sort of a a far-northern suburb of Dallas. In the fifties and sixties, the city grew to accommodate the development of the Williston Basin oil field. My Dad, at 78, is still working in the oil business.

Cows are cows, though, and in Billings, they’re right in the middle of town. Above is the view from in front of my Mom’s condo building one morning last week. The Rimrocks, a 400-foot high sandstone butte, rises in the distance.
